Pup's Pet Store

Though he rarely bothers to open the shop, Tyson does own Pup’s Pet Store; named by his nephew. It’s largely a cover story to convince his brother that Tyson does have a normal life and it can help cover his activities within the web if he gains too much police attention.
His sister-in-law, Rosie, designed the business cards for the store, so that receipts or any other papers from the shop could be slotted inside. She was also the one to create the forms for Tyson’s shop and maps. Rosie has since made an updated and larger range for him, so that Tyson can make his business look legitimate under scrutiny.
As well as selling pet supplies, Tyson offers a service where he helps people track down their ideal pet from the various shelters and breeders around London, and he will occasionally offer training if he likes the person enough.
He has a …deal of sorts with Jeremy, the owner of the butcher’s shop two doors down from Tyson’s pet shop. Tyson buys his meat there and recommends it to other people, and in turn Jeremy offers him a safe place to hide whilst making unsubtle comments about favours that Tyson might owe him.
The top floor of Tyson’s pet store is largely used as a place for Tyson to make his maps, as Tyson’s apartment lacks floor space to work on them and he keeps most of his supplies at the store. That isn’t to say that Tyson has a lot of space at his store either.
As the majority of the upper floor is often covered in drying maps, Tyson has a pair of long wooden planks and four rubber bricks to walk around the room without disrupting anything; and, naturally, has trained his dogs to walk over them too. Lily and Bobby will sometimes hop onto the planks even when nothing else is on the floor.
Tyson can pivot around the maps and sometimes when he’s working on too many at once, he will move the planks out of the way to free up more floor space, but he honestly finds it fun to balance on the blanks and it helps prevent any accidents from happening.

Broad Street and Lane

Tyson's home and pet shop are both on Broad, but not the same street. His Pet Shop is on (Old) Broad Street whereas his house is on Broad Lane. Tyson finds that symmetry comforting and has the money to waste on having that comfort.

Tyson lives where he lives because he has dogs and Broad Lane is in the perfect location to take the dogs to the parks, he is surrounded by them. In his main universe, Tyson was gifted this apartment by the Moriarty Mirrors as a gift. It was a former safe house of theirs and a place where Tyson would be comfortable and safe, somewhere to convince him to stay with them; that he was 'at home' with them. This apartment's close proximity to Heathrow also made it a valuable safe house and useful position to keep one of the Moriarty Mirrors' pets.

Tyson generally refers to the shop as being on Broad Street because - amongst a large number of people who live in or around that area in London - Old Broad Street is just called Broad Street, whereas New Broad Street was called New Broad Street. He chose the empty store lot on that street to make his store because of how convenient it is. It's only a few building away from his butcher, Jeremy. The shop is on the corner where Throgmorton Street joins it.

Tyson's bike

Model:   Trek 3900
Colour: Dark Olive
Since having a car in London is often expensive when living inside the congestion zone Tyson gets around in cabs, bus, the underground, on foot, and on his bike. Whilst having a light weight street bike would be more practical Tyson's bike is a mountain bike because the better suspension doesn't jolt his ribs as much meaning they are less likely to be damaged whist riding around.

When at the pet store Tyson keeps his bike in the backroom, lent against the wall so he can get under the stairs and up the stairs with ease. When at home he keeps his bike in the hallway where he has to side step it to get in and out which makes his already difficult to navigate home a death trap that is impossible to get in and out of, this had lead to Bobby jumping out of the window rather than using the door. Tyson has considered joining him in this.

Equipment:

  • Lights
Tyson is often up in the early hours of the morning and late at night, when there are fewer people around, so he needed to fix lights on his bike. Not only a light so that he could see where he was going but also ones so that cars could see him.
  • Mudguard
There is a mudguard for the back wheel but not the front wheel as Tyson rides in the city, only.
  • Stand
Tyson fitted a stand to the bike after finding that just leaning the bike against the wall meant if fell over, constantly and that this would also happen at stores.
  • Lock

He lives in London, self explanatory.
