Cat!Verse

Even after everything Sebastian did to him, Tyson’s own worst enemy is himself and in the end, it was Sebastian that caused his own downfall. Or maybe that’s just what Tyson says to alleviate his own misplaced guilt.
For a long time, Moran had Tyson completely under his thumb, but he got lax; got cocky, when the Moriarty Mirrors came around recruiting. With Moran preening over the attention, Tyson was able to sneak a knife into his possession.
Tyson truly didn’t intend to kill Sebastian. He only wanted to prove to himself that Sebastian didn’t have complete control over him anymore, only drew the weapon to stop Sebastian’s attack. He wasn’t supposed to die. Moran was never meant to bleed out in Tyson’s arms from the slash against his larynx.
Tyson was never supposed to sob over his cold body. Never supposed to call  Yithrô in a panic at one o’clock in the morning. Jethro was never supposed to compromise his morals even further for Tyson by using his police resources to help cover up the murder.
For a time, Tyson stayed with Jethro, Rosie, and James whilst he recovered from the last injuries Sebastian would ever inflict on him. A part of him that he hated, wishing the bruises would stay a while longer, so that part of Moran would stay with him. More than the dog tags he keeps around his neck beside his own.
Tyson has moved into a new home, away from the abuse he suffered under Moran. A house that conveniently has the same layout at the Earth!verse Blue Ridge Mountains home. He lives there with Mandy and Felix, a female Tabby and a male Ragdoll cat.
Deprived of their sniper, the Moriarty Mirrors could simply move on, but for now they’re keeping their eyes on Tyson. He is in a very fragile state currently, if they pushed too hard he would break entirely and be useless to them. However, if they nurtured him properly, he could become a valuable asset. They already know that this cat has claws.
More often than not, Tyson can be found with Mandy nestled in the hood of his hoodie and Felix spilling out of both ends of the large front pocket. Even when they aren’t sapping his heat, the two cats are rarely far from Tyson.
He’s still trying to find his place in the world now that he’s free from Sebastian’s abuse and Tyson hasn’t worked up the courage to meet too many other people. He continues to know Jeremy and has started opening up about the truth to Tae.
Rather than throwing him in at the deep end, Nate is the one assigned with slowly easing Tyson into the web. He posed as a friendly face at The Biscuit Tin and routinely shows up at Tyson’s home to see how he’s doing. Nate has a task to perform, but he does genuinely care about Tyson and not rushing him to remove faster than he’s ready for.
Tyson has access to the family fortune once more and continued to receive money from the books he worked on with Sebastian. He volunteers at a pet shelter to give himself something to focus on and feel useful doing, rather than driving himself up the wall at home.
Though it could be argued that Tyson has a crutch on both rather than an addiction to either, his habit of mixing alcohol with painkillers has become much more common and Sebastian is no longer around to take the lion’s share of the alcohol from him. Cat!Verse is one of the places where Tyson is the most honest with his brother, but he refuses to let his brother know about that.
