Wax Seals

He may offer suggestions or ask if one of the Moriarty Mirrors is capable of something in a way that is intended to prompt a response, he often even challenges what the Moriarty Mirrors say and do, but the only time Tyson throws down the gauntlet and issues a challenge is through those wax-sealed letters.
Tyson going out of the way to play into the Moriarty Mirrors theatrics means that he is daring them to do their worst and prove why they are the rulers of a criminal empire. It is also one the rare times that Tyson will make a request of them.

Scars

Tyson has more scars than purely those pictures below, however, those are a combination of the most severe and the ones that Tyson cares about: ones that came from mistakes, unavoidably his fault and his fault alone, or caused by The Colonel.
He is littered with small scars from a hard-fought life, working in dangerous places in the web/the army and from surviving everything The Colonel/being abandoned in the desert threw at him. These scars are largely small things attained over the years/changeable depending on the thread and Tyson’s experiences within them. Nicks from working with knives in the kitchen and in the web, grazing wounds from shrapnel in the army, et cetera.

Those scars matter more to Tyson than any of his other for a variety of reasons.
The dent in his torso for obvious reasonshis two dog bite scars because they were entirely avoidable, and the scar on his foot because it was the stupidest reason for getting a scar; the barbed wire scars hold similar contempt. The knife scars matter to Tyson because those were some of the rare instances with Sebastian used a weapon against him, rather than his fists.
The hockey injury stands out in Tyson’s mind because it was the only time he was hurt as a child, outside of by his father’s own hand, that his father completely dismissed Tyson’s pain. When his ankle broke, his father fusses. When Tyson wouldn’t put weight on his left leg, his father shouted.

Pigeons

Though Tyson can understand why pigeons annoy some people, he genuinely loves the sight of pigeons wandering around on the street and around the benches of cities.
It’s a comforting universal, that no matter where he goes there are always happy grey blobs bobbing along around his ankles. He doesn’t think that he’s properly visited a city until he’s found a pigeon in the way of his path.
He is always happy to indulge Moriarty’s fondness for pigeons. He is far less inclined to indulge Lily’s desire to eat the pigeons or Bobby’s attempts to play with them.

Dreams

Tyson doesn’t have dreams anywhere near as much as he does nightmares.
The dreams that Tyson does end up having are usually less coherent than his nightmares, fragments of figments rather than the linear - and horrifying - narrative of his nightmares.
Usually Tyson has an easier time trying to remember the sensations of the dream, rather than the events that happened: feeling warm and safe in arms that could only have been Sebastian’s, grass tickling his back and the scent of Kim’s coconut shampoo, or the steady pressure of James perched on his shoulders and the taste of sea spray against his lips.
Dreams are varied, though more consistent. If it’s a memory, the colours and maps remain as they were; with some allowance for changes in his emotional response if the memory is adapted whilst he dreams. If it isn’t a memory, then only things that Tyson does remember will get coloured.
For example, if he dreamt that he was walking through a fake building with Jethro, then the building would appear in its ‘natural’ state, whilst his brother would get his normal colour palette.

Scotland Yard Trio

Tyson tries to avoid entering (New) Scotland Yard as much as possible, and yet he has found a group of familiar faces there regardless as he either works undercover within Scotland Yard or getting dragged in for questioning about The Colonel.
Greg LestradeOwner's undercover pet, occasionally coddling 'uncle'.
In Tyson’s main verse, Lestrade is one of Moriarty’s pets who’s working permanently undercover in Scotland Yard. Tyson’s often confused about Greg’s role and thinks it’s a conflict of interests that Lestrade claims to be completely loyal to Jim, whilst also deeply caring about Sherlock; having helped him become clean from drugs in the past. In Tyson’s mind, Lestrade is like an overprotective uncle to the people he cares about; especially his fellow pets.
However, Tyson keeps these thoughts to himself and enjoys Lestrade’s company. Tyson has worked undercover with Greg multiple times on many different cases. To help keep Lestrade’s undercover status a secret, they very rarely meet up when there isn’t a job to be done or planned. Tyson would like to spend more time with Greg, but work will always come first.
D.I. DimmockFleeting acquaintances.
  ↳ Passing acquaintance.
More than anything else, Tyson tolerates D.I. Dimmock. Their paths cross infrequently, mostly when Lestrade brings Tyson to the police station, or when he rescues Tyson from it. Tyson respects the work the man does as an honest police officer, but that’s as far as it goes. Dimmock, quite rightly, is distrustful of Tyson. The times Tyson has come closest to being caught stealing files from Scotland Yard have been times the Dimmock was around.
Sally DonovanFleeting acquaintances.
↳ 'Waiting for Lestrade coffee buddy'.
Tyson’s meets Donovan far more often. Though she doesn’t seem to suspect Tyson in the way other police officers do, Tyson wishes she weren’t quite as good at her job. During his time working for Moriarty, Donovan has caused Tyson a plethora of problems. Conflicting career paths aside, Tyson enjoys Donovan’s company. When on break, she’s always willing to share a coffee with Tyson whilst he waits for Lestrade to finish a meeting or arrive at the station.

Purloining

Tyson practises his purloining to perfection.
Sooner or later, Tyson is going to get himself into trouble by reflexively pick-pocketing and stealing the things that catch his attention to improve his skills. It’s almost become a reflex for Tyson. If there is an easy pocket, he needs to pick it.
For all practical purposes, Tyson does not need to spend his ‘free time’ pick-pocketing people on the streets of London. He is an excellent pick-pocket already and he is only making more work for himself, having to find creative ways to return the stolen items later; whenever possible.
However, Tyson enjoys that. It’s a game and an adventure, and though he potentially ruined a person’s day when he stole it, Tyson knows that he can make someone’s day by returning the stolen item; anonymously or not.
He is an adept lock-picker, and took to it like a duck to water, but learning how to safe-crack has been an uphill battle for Tyson. He understands how it works and what he needs to do, but that simply does not click into achieving it - without several minutes of swearing and a snack intermission - for Tyson.

Dogs

At this point, it should be self-evident that despite having been severely bitten by dogs twice, Tyson adores dogs and that they love him back.
He spent years training service dogs for the army, and continued as a service dog handler once on active service. He is the Moriarty Mirrors’ loyal Pup and shares his apartment with a pair of mother and pup Dalmatians. His Doberman, Jack, guards the Delaney family manor in the care of Jasmine.
Tyson adores his dogs. He fusses over them all the time and they are nearly always by his side. They are his constant companions. Tyson keeps their leashes wrapped through his belt loops like a second and third belt.
Dogs within Tyson’s universe(s):
  • Bobby - Dalmatian-mix - Tyson Delaney
  • Cait - English Bulldog - Jeremy Thornton
  • Jack - Doberman - Tyson Delaney
  • Lily - Dalmatian/Dhole - Tyson Delaney
  • Meg - Welsh Boarder Collie - Tyson Delaney { Army!Verse & Veteran AU

Surveillance

Though Tyson can understand the worry of constant surveillance, he finds the cameras around London to be a comforting presence.
Wherever he goes, backup from the web is never far away. If he can spot a security camera and get close enough to clearly blink at it, Tyson can guarantee getting a message to the Moriarty Mirrors, even in situations where he couldn’t use his phone without alerting the people around him.
He knows that if he ever goes missing, the web can track him down and rescue him that way. There are times when that isn’t true, when Tyson is purposefully avoiding the cameras’ gaze to avoid enemies of the web tracking him, but in those cases, the web would already be aware of his intended destination and could track him down that way.

Hogwarts

Within Hogwarts AU, Tyson is in his sixth year at Hogwarts. He’s studying Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration, Study of Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, & Care of Magical Creatures. He gets good grades and tries hard in all his lessons.

Alongside his wizarding studies, Tyson also receives muggle homework from his father to keep up with mathematical studies primarily, but he also receives work for other subjects as well. His patronus is a Robin, though later in life it would take the form of a Pine Marten.
In this verse, Tyson’s skateboard has an enchanted deck that changes between three-designs depending on the angle it’s at, but more importantly, Tyson has a pair of two-wheel black and yellow heelys that he’s charmed to glide forever until he puts down the toes of the shoes.
Tyson is largely away from his father, but Tyson is still bound by his responsibilities to the family legacy. His sense style remains less subdued than main!verse Tyson, but there is a stronger themeing and sense of loyalty to Hufflepuff in it generally, and specifically his choices with his punk jacket.
He is more than a little bit smitten by the seventh-year Gryffindor pure-blood prefect and seeker, Bùi Kimiko, and they have been flirting around the idea of dating since Tyson was in his first-year. He has been friends with fourth-year muggle-born Hufflepuff, Hal Malone, since Tyson’s third-year; helping tutor him through Transfiguration.
Though Tyson has gained a lot of confidence in Hogwarts AU by spending more time around people and gaining magical talent, in Honey Badger SU, Tyson is even more secretive and protective of his things.
He is especially secretive about the werewolf bite on his left shoulder. Tyson will immediately flinch away when someone touches his left shoulder and he does out of his way to make sure it can’t be glimpsed when he’s changing clothes.

Tyson’s wand is made of Fir wood with a core of Unicorn Hair, 9⅖ inches and pliant.

Approximation of Tyson’s Hogwarts AU wand by combing the wands of Sirius Black,Neville LongbottomGinny Weasley, and Percival Graves. The difference that I couldn’t edit in was that rather than circles and dots between the spiral (of Sirius’ wand), Tyson’s wand would have alchemical symbols instead.
The end of Tyson’s wand is capped by pure silver with the Magen David inscribed into the top and ’אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה’ around the circumference. It was gifted to Tyson by a Wizard-Rabbi during his Bar Mitzvah to signify that his wand belongs to a Jewish man. Though wizarding law says that a witch or wizard is of age at seventeen and the trace is broken at that time, Tyson is still considered a man by Jewish tradition; in the same way that a Jewish muggle comes of age at thirteen, but is still bound by the age laws of their country and those they visit.
Before the silver cap was magically melted in place, the end of his wand wrapped in on itself, so that the two spirals of wood looked like a singular piece wrapping back around itself in increasingly tight coils as it goes down towards the tip of the wand; like Tyson, coiled impossibly tight. Or like folding a shoelace in half and twisting it a few times.
